The Calligraphy Room is an exclusive online experience of guided practice and calligraphy self-care. As creatives we are often pulled in many directions, and don't make dedicated time to practice our craft. Whether you are an experienced calligrapher just needing time to rediscover your love for letters, or a newbie that took your first beginner's class last week, this intentional session is for you. During this 2-hour experience we are dedicating time to slow down, practice our craft, and be present in the moment. This class will not be teaching any techniques or lessons. Learn the basics of brush lettering in an interactive, virtual, full-length workshop for beginners! The Brush Lettering Virtual Workshop is perfect for beginners interested in learning brush lettering or modern calligraphy who are not sure where to begin. The workshop features instruction and live demonstration led by Amanda Reid, owner of Amanda Reid Designs and founder of Calligraphers of Color. Amanda is a modern calligrapher, workshop instructor, and Doctor of Physical Therapy who has a passion for teaching aspiring letterers. In this workshop, Amanda will cover the basics of brush lettering and modern calligraphy to get you ready to add unique lettered details to all of life's special occasions!

Class will cover the tools you need to get started with brush lettering, how to hold brush pens, basic strokes for modern calligraphy, alphabet, learning to connect letters, practice words, a practice quote, and a blank practice sheet
Class comes with a black Soft Tip Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen and a downloadable 10-page practice workbook
